Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We never sell your data.
This policy applies to all products built and maintained by VoiceGremlin LLC (together, "VoiceGremlin"). It covers our handling of information about site visitors, prospective customers, and customers and authorized users. We refer collectively to these categories of individuals as "you" throughout this policy.
What we collect and why
Identity and access
When you sign up for VoiceGremlin, we ask for your name, email address, and phone number. Your email address is used for account authentication and essential product communications. Your phone number is used to identify the number we call during tests.
We'll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won't use your name in marketing statements without your permission.
Billing information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, you will be asked to provide your payment information. Credit card information is submitted directly to our payment processor (Stripe) and doesn't hit VoiceGremlin servers. We store a record of the payment transaction, including the last 4 digits of the card number, for purposes of account history, invoicing, and billing support.
Test data
When you run a test, we process the phone conversation between our synthetic caller and your voice agent. This includes:
- The transcribed text of your voice agent's responses (from speech-to-text)
- The text our synthetic caller says (generated by an LLM)
- Audio recordings of the call in some cases (temporary, stored on our servers only)
- The test goal you provide and the judge's pass/fail result
We keep test results as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete the test data within 60 days.
API usage
When you use our API, we log the API key used, the test parameters you send, and the resulting status. This is so we can track usage, enforce plan limits, and help debug issues.
Website interactions
We collect minimal information about your browsing activity for analytics purposes, such as which pages you visit and your browser type. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Voluntary correspondence
When you email us with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past correspondence to reference if you reach out in the future.
When we access or disclose your information
To provide the service. We use third-party subprocessors to help run our applications:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time updates (hosted in the U.S.)
- Telnyx — telephony (making the phone calls, speech-to-text, text-to-speech)
- LLM providers — language models that generate our synthetic caller's speech and judge the conversation
- Stripe — payment processing
- Netlify — CDN and frontend hosting
LLM processing. Your voice agent's transcribed responses are sent to an LLM provider for analysis. The LLM provider is contractually prohibited from using your content to train their models.
To help you troubleshoot. If at any point we need to access your test data to help you with a support case, we will ask for your consent before proceeding.
Aggregated and de-identified data. We may aggregate and/or de-identify information collected through the services. We may use de-identified or aggregated data for any purpose, including analytics and marketing.
When required under applicable law. VoiceGremlin is a U.S. company with its main data infrastructure located in the U.S. If U.S. law enforcement authorities have the necessary warrant, criminal subpoena, or court order requiring us to disclose data, we must comply. It is our policy to notify affected users before we disclose data unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
If VoiceGremlin is acquired by or merges with another company, we'll notify you well before any of your personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Artificial intelligence
AI is central to our product. We use LLMs to generate our synthetic caller's speech, simulate multi-turn conversations, and judge whether your voice agent passed or failed a test. Speech-to-text and text-to-speech services convert audio to text and back.
We do not use your content to train our own AI models. The AI providers we work with are contractually prohibited from training their models on your content.
Your rights with respect to your information
We strive to apply the same data rights to all customers, regardless of their location. Some of these rights include:
- Right to Know. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.
- Right of Access. You have the right to access the personal information we gather about you.
- Right to Correction. You have the right to request correction of your personal information.
- Right to Erasure. You have the right to request that your personal information be erased from our possession.
- Right to Complain. You have the right to make a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority.
- Right to Portability. You have the right to receive and transmit your personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not charge you differently because you exercised your data privacy rights.
If you have questions about exercising these rights, please contact us at support@voicegremlin.com.
How we secure your data
All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted. Database backups are also encrypted. We go to reasonable lengths to secure your data at rest, including access controls and network segmentation.
What happens when you delete your account
If you choose to cancel your account, your test data will become inaccessible and be purged from our systems in full within 60 days. We cannot recover this information once it has been permanently deleted.
Data retention
We keep your information for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Location of site and data
Our product and data infrastructure are primarily housed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, any information you provide will be transferred to and stored in the U.S. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as needed. If we make significant changes, we will refresh the date at the top of this page.
